Ballout wins Little Miss Universe Botswana

Ballout’s luck started after she was crowned Little Miss Photogenic, a special award, which gave members of the public an opportunity to vote through social media. The award meant that she automatically made it to the top 10.
The 11-year-old told Showbiz that she knew that she was suitable for the title as she is an inspiration to young females with no confidence in themselves and she addresses issues, which affect women. Ballout will be representing Botswana in Tbilisi, Georgia, USA from June 1 to 6, 2015. Unfortunately, the crown slipped out of first princess Wame Baleseng’s fingers.
The girl also proved that she had what it takes to represent Botswana internationally from the onset. She proved that she has talent, when she beautifully played a violin piece dedicated to her grandmother. She left the audience watching in awe.
Just like Ballout, Baleseng did not only walk away with one title, she also won the Miss Congeniality title. Highly confident, Leungo Norman took third position. Her intelligence, beautiful smile and confidence led many to think she was going to walk away with the title. The beautiful girl won herself a great number of fans across the hall with her beautiful poem in which, she proudly told the audience about herself. It revealed to the audience that she is a beautiful, intelligent, confident and respectful Motswana girl who is proud of whom she is.
The pageant had four princesses, and Nnete Iketleng was crowned third princess, while Tumi Kesiilwe was the fourth princess.
Iketleng was one of the strongest contestants whose presence in the podium could be felt. Her father cheered proudly from the audience.
The girl decided to showcase beautiful traditional dance moves during the talent show. In both the top 10 and top five questions, she managed to amuse the audience with her short and precise answers.
Other contestants who walked away with special awards were 11-year-old Alicia who earned herself Miss Beauty title, Miss Model was grabbed by Pamella, Miss Friendship went to Lulu and Koketso won the Best Talent title, after she successfully stole the audience’s heart with her beautiful performance. She sung while at the same time playing the piano. Her performance was professional.
The pageant was a success and everything was top notch. The pageant started and finished on time. The audience commented that the beauty pageant was surprisingly professional and that all of the contestants aged between nine and 14 years old performed much better than their older sisters.
