Teams resume unfinished business

Police XI and high riding Orapa United kicked-off the week’s busy schedule last night, with a further five fixtures lined-up for today.
Log leaders, Mochudi Centre Chiefs resume their title onslaught with a trip to Serowe to face struggling ECCO City Greens. Chiefs are on 53 points, six ahead of second-placed Orapa United, a team punching above its weight in only their second season in the Premier League.
While Chiefs are expected to maintain their good run, the focus will be on the relegation battle as Satmos, BR Highlanders and Motlakase Power Dynamos, all at the wrong end of the table, are in action tonight.
Satmos have a tough assignment against an unpredictable BDF XI side laden with quality, but lacking consistency. Satmos have 24 points and lie 12th, two positions and four points above the last relegation spot, which cross town rivals, Nico United occupy. BR Highlanders with 23 points is wedged between Satmos and Nico in the standings. The Mahalapye side makes the dreaded trip to Maun--where Sankoyo Bush Bucks lie in wait. Sankoyo has made the Maun Sports Complex a feared cauldron.
Motlakase travel to the Molepolole Sports Complex to confront fifth placed Gaborone United. Though the Lobatse derby is fast losing its luster, both Extension Gunners and BMC are looking for a change in fortunes.
The game of the week takes place in Selebi-Phikwe tomorrow where Nico United, formidable at home, welcome third placed Township Rollers. Nico are in danger of going out and tonight, the two sides would relive the epic scenes of a 2005 clash, which saw both going down to the First Division. Nico won the emotional encounter 2-1 before a busting Selebi-Phikwe Stadium. This time, it is Rollers’ seeking to shove Nico closer to the furnace.
Rock bottom, Letlapeng whose return to the First Division appear certain, face a resurgent Notwane side that have pulled clear of the relegation zone. Notwane are powered by the exploits of bustling Zambian, Zebron Njobvu who has plundered five goals in six matches. On the other hand, the underwhelming Letlapeng is looking for only its fourth win of a tough season, which has yielded a meagre 12 points in 23 matches. All matches kick-off at 7pm. All the teams are back in action again over the weekend, with the congested Easter programme starting on Friday.
