He will be in jail for at least two weeks. Over the weekend unconfirmed reports said he had been whisked to Francistown where the police want him for criminal charges relating to Facebook activities. Unconfirmed reports say a couple had reported Kenosi after he had posted their nude photos taken while they were asleep in their bedroom.

It has been a torrid week of unfortunate events for the Facebook celebrity; they started with him appearing for mention for causing death and failing to stop at the scene of crime last week Tuesday, at the village magistrate court, early in the morning.

Later that day, his guests were plain clothed policemen who showed him warrant of arrests from Francistown and Gaborone police stations, all linked to his Facebook activities where he has made a name for himself as an exposer of secret lives of lovers and ex-lovers.

The charges that have seen Kenosi in jail now relate to his latest arrest in a case of unlawful distribution of pornographic or obscene material contrary to section 16 of the Cybercrime and Computer Related Crime Act.

It is alleged that the police have traced the first internet distribution of the notorious Modipane porn to Kenosi who, it is alleged caused the video to go viral when he invited his over 73,000 followers to view it.

The 24-year-old Kenosi was arrested on March 24 after appearing for mention at Gaborone Magistrate’s Court on two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and failure to stop and report an accident contrary to the Road Traffic Act.

These offences of causing death and failure to stop at the scene were committed on September 28, 2014, and the Old Naledi Police confiscated his car since then.

The youthful Kenosi is also facing criminal defamation charge contrary to section 192 of the Penal Code in Francistown and the police have revealed that the Francistown Magistrate’s Court issued the warrant of his arrest.

Kenosi is no stranger to controversy. He once exposed dirty linens of his own girlfriend, a My Star performer, in the Midweek Sun after their relationship went sour.

He was also the source of a controversial three-some front-page story in the tabloid, The Voice, involving his girlfriend, a cabinet Minister and another girl’s sexual escapade.

He had posted the three-some conversation on Facebook before tabloid The Voice, ran with it.

Kenosi had previously worked as a stringer for Gabz FM and The Voice, but left the latter under unclear circumstances. In fact his unceremonious exit was announced by one of his perpetual victims of slander on Facebook, musician Thabang Gaarogwe, who joyously shared on Facebook that Kenosi’s job at The Voice had ended after him(Thabang) and a string of Kenosi’s Facebook victims had gone to complain against him.

Kenosi also escaped a whipping at a Gaborone customary court few years ago when one of the victims of his Facebook notoriety took him to court, only for Dan, as he is affectionately known, to request that the matter go to the magistrate’s court, because he, argued he needed a lawyer.

Kenosi’s huge following on Facebook, over 73, 000, enjoy following his midnight Facebook sessions, pillar chat topics, where sex is a huge subject.

His troubles are bouncing back at him at a time when he was preparing his followers for a new print publication he calls The Paparazi, a tabloid that promises to be as controversial as the publisher himself.

However it has appeared Dan has earned as many enemies as followers due to his exploits, if the way the face bookers have received news of his troubles is anything to go by.

The Monitor Facebook post that announced Dan’s troubles clocked over 90,000 reach, 400 likes, and over 600 comments as many celebrated his fall.
