In an interview with Showbiz, group leader, Kabelo Mogwe, said that they have woken up to the fact that their music, which has an international appeal, is needed on a global level.
Every time they travel abroad they are met with requests to create a website where fans could interact with them and also get to know the latest information on the group, including latest releases, upcoming performances and the like.
He also explained that in this hi-technology era where almost everyone has access to Information Technology and Communication (ITC) materials like Internet, they found it necessary to 'communicate with our fans through this medium.
It is a cheaper way of communicating. What I also like about it is that it allows the fans to interface with us on a personal level.
The website has a whole range of features.
There is the part that gives you information on our upcoming gigs, background on individual members in our group, our pictures and video clips of our performances here and abroad,' he said.
He said that though they have not made a conclusive agreement, they would avail space for artists to advertise their works and upcoming shows.
Meanwhile, he has revealed that the group, whose latest album Khudu, has been received well in the music market, has released a DVD of the album. The DVD, which was shown to the media on Tuesday, does not only unpack the idiomatic language in the album but also gives rare sights of Botswana's traditional life.
There are scenes of cattle-posts, which also give one an insight into the lives of the rural folk, and how they express their love for one another.
The DVD also explores in detail the universal theme of love in a very comical way.
