Addressing journalists in Gaborone yesterday, Paul said the young Zebras were ready to face the junior Likoena.

His young players are expected to dominate the senior Zebras squad that takes on Mozambique in Lobatse on Sunday.

Paul said their intention just like most teams, is to give the young squad more playing time.

“We want to prepare the young squad ahead of the upcoming games such as All Africa Games and the COSAFA Challenge,” Paul said.

“We are looking forward to tomorrow’s game and are aware that Lesotho plays a passing game. We have called a strong squad and that indicates that we take the game seriously.”

The Lesotho Under-23 football team, the junior Likoena is already in Gaborone ahead of their clash against the Young Zebras.

Likoena head coach, Seephephe Matete said his squad is mostly made up of new players who will win their first caps tomorrow.

“The Wednesday international friendly is an important game.

We have realised that we always have a great team after we play Botswana.

“Many of the players have left the team due to physical fitness and other reasons.

We have a new team and we are looking forward to a good game. “We understand the Botswana team is good at set pieces and they control the ball well,” Matete told journalists.
