The event organiser decided after that setback to move the show to Serowe where it will provide some much needed spark to light up the entertainment scene in the sleepy Bangwato capital.

Now dubbed ‘Paseka ya Rona Easter Bunnies’, the show is scheduled to take place at the Serowe Sports Complex on April 3, 2015 with a rich line up of local and international performers including South Africa’s Shota.

Emerging South African house music band TradeMark will make a quick return after they also performed at the just ended Intervarsity games at the University of Botswana. DJ Zinhle will also join the party with Jika Boys and The Josh.

Revellers will also be treated to the sounds of traditional music star Jojo of Goo Moiyabana hit track.

A host of local DJs also make the line up of the highly anticipated event. They include Ricky Lamar, Fondo Fire, Anthem, King, Spin, Franky Jay and Kayz (Gaborone’s Finest). Event organiser, Gilbert ‘PP’ Seagile of Gilbert Promotions told Showbiz that he decided to move the event to Serowe because the central district needed some “cheering up”. “This is more than just entertainment. It is a plan to promote Serowe as a holiday destination. Almost all the major villages in Botswana have their own annual event like the ‘Home Coming Show’ in Mahalapye, ‘Clap Your Hands’ in Palapye; but Serowe, despite its rich history and importance, has been sleepy when it comes to entertainment. Remember that these kind of shows attract business and tourism. We are working with the village leadership and the police in organising this event,” Seagile said.
