The game started with both teams looking for an early goal, but it was Magosi that took the lead in the fourth minute following a good build up. Striker, Kekaetswe Moloi’s task was only to put the ball into the net.

Chiefs created most of the chances in the first half while Nico tried to catch them on counter attacks.  Moloi could have doubled the lead in the 32nd minute, but his header went over the bar.

Tendai Nyumasi scored from a rebound and the assistant referee raised the flag for offside in the 39th minute. Christopher Musonda put Nico United on level terms with just one minute before the half time break after Keabetswe Jenamiso failed to clear a cross in the box.

In the second half, both teams pushed forward in search of a leading goal. In the 55th minute, Mike Sithole introduced Galabgwe Moyana for Nyumasi. In the 61st minute, Lemponye Tshireletso’s took a shot but found Kagiso Rankabekwa well positioned. Moments later, Moyana’s free kick on the edge of the box went over the bar.  Lesego Galenamotlhale then took a long range shot with just under 10 minutes remaining, but the ball hit the upright.

Moyana scored a winner in the 83rd minute when he nodded in a cross from Kaelo Kgaswane. Magosi nearly doubled the lead in 88th minute, but Onalethata Tshekiso’s goal was ruled offside.

Majombolo’s coach, Wesley Mondo said his team did not have enough time to prepare for the game. “We did not have enough preparation.

Imagine playing on a Sunday and having to play away on Friday. It is just a matter of going back to regroup and fight to avoid relegation,” he said.  His counterpart, Magosi coach Sithole said it was not easy preparing for this game. “It was not easy preparing for the game because of the cases against the team. Somehow it kind of affected the mood of players, but after all we managed to bag three points and its important in this journey,” he said.
