Last year, Chabo released his first single after four years in the music industry. The release Let Me Go, did not announce him as a potential hitmaker but a good introduction to the competitive world of music. It left mixed feelings amongst competitors and fans alike. Some just saw him as a wishful thinker while others took note of his brilliance in the studio.

The young DJ took the commendations and turned the harsh criticism into positive motivation and when he returned to the studio his creative spirit was in high levels.  The result is a chart-topper called Hamba Nami. But what would this single be without the silky voice of female vocalist Shari and Crowd Capella’s Touch.

“When I decided to do my second single I knew exactly how I wanted it to be and who I wanted to work with. Shari is such an amazing vocalist.  She is versatile and can sing in many languages.  I knew I wanted her to do my vocals. Crowd Capella came before me, worked with her and they both appealed to me,” Chabo told Showbiz.

The young DJ who has made the cut for the prestigious Summer Explosion show later next month said he is humbled by the positive response from the fans and radio stations.

“I knew we were creating a good song and it is gratifying to see that people love this song. I love the way the fans are excited about it.  I am inviting everybody to go with me to the top of the music ladder because that is the ultimate goal,” he said.

The young man said that he is not bothered that both Crowd Capella and Shari could ultimately steal his limelight saying he believes the two would bring him more followers. As his career looks set to flourish, DJ Chabo said that he is forever be grateful to award-winning DJ Gouvier who mentored him to be what he is today.

“Right now I am working on a show in Zimbabwe in December and I am also looking at making appearances in South Africa.  I hope the Summer Explosion show will get me more shows because it is a big stage. I would not be talking about all this if Gouvier did not teach me the ropes,” he said.
