The 36-old-radio presenter who worked at Gabz fm for five years hosting a show called The Zone with Simba was quick to deny rumours that he will be joining Gareth Cliff’s radio station CliffCentral.

“I am not working for any radio station at the moment.  I am just focused on working closely with my management Waka Agency,” he said.

Mudereri added that a number of radio stations from South Africa and his home country Zimbabwe have approached him and asked for his services.

“I cannot mention the stations, but I am not linked with any,” he said.

Mudereri sparked controversy after parting ways with Gabz fm when he posted his picture on his timeline wearing a red Yarona FM t-shirt captioned: “So … Since my last show on #GabzFM, I keep getting asked where I’m going to next … Honestly, I still have NO idea guys … But, do y’all think I should get more red T-Shirts? I really like red”.

This left a number of people wondering if he has joined the youthful radio station.

He, however, said through his agency, which is based in South Africa he is getting a number of gigs such as doing voiceovers and emceeing at events in South Africa and locally.

The radio presenter who is also an IT expert stated that he is also working privately as a social media manager for different companies.

“I am not closing down on any offer I am still finding my feet after Gabz FM and you will be the first to know if I go back on radio,” he said.

Talking from experience Mudereri believes that local radio stations are on the right track and there are some great developments taking place.

Mudereri’s Gabz fm show used to air on the adult contemporary radio station in the afternoons between 12pm and 3pm on weekdays.
