Boko's simple wedding

It however, attracted a lot of media attention.The wedding was held at Mogaung ward in Moshupa on Saturday where multitudes of well-wishers came to witness as one of Botswana’s high profile bachelors started a new life as a family man.
The giant politician married his long time sweetheart and mother of his son, Kaone Mokganedi in a simple traditional ceremony that attracted people from all walks of life. The ceremony started with a church service held at the Mokganedi family home with only the couple’s relatives and a few villagers.
The couple sited on a white leatherette couch resting on a white carpet under a small gazebo shade while the ecstatic “congregation” sat under a modern white shade netting as pastor Mmoloki Mogokgwane of the Apostolic Faith Mission ushered some words of encouragement and blessed the marriage.
The visibly pregnant bride clad in white maternity wedding dress sat besides the groom on a white leatherette couch resting on a white carpet under a small gazebo shade. The groom looked immaculate in a blue suit with a matching scotched blue and white tie. The five bride maids, sited on the front row, also looked very simple in beige dresses while the grooms party which included Boko’s right hand man Elliot Moshoke, also opted simple blue pants with white shirts.
Mogokgwane applauded the couple for choosing to get married in church saying marriage was God’s creation hence the need to include Him right from the start.
Mogokgwane said the couple had a variety of options, but chose to tie the knot in church. He said this was a sign of their commitment to their marriage.
“I recall, because I have been their counselor for some time, Duma asking Kaone if getting married in church would still guarantee him the status of the head of the household and she said yes,” the pastor said.
He encouraged the couple to rely on the power of God especially during challenging times of their marriages. He also commended Boko for making the decision to get married. Mogokgwane said marriage was not for boys rather for men and emphasised the man’s need for companionship.
“As a politician you are always in the eyes of a storm and this woman will be there to sooth the pain when you reach home. Like a soldier in an army, you need support and Kaone will be there to parry the spears targeted at you,” he said.
The pastor also reminded the couple that they needed to work hard to ensure their marriage becomes successful and emphasised that being married for a longer time would not meant their marriage is successful. “Many marriages look successful from the outside, but they are not. Unconditional love and total submission to each other would ensure the success of you marriage,” he said.
