The visiting Serowe side, eyeing an immediate return to the Premier League, came into the game in need of just six points in the remaining games to clinch an automatic qualification. However against Tigers, which also badly needed the points, it was not an easy game for the visitors.

Tigers were the first to score from a penalty spot deep into the injury time. The goal came after a Miscellaneous’ defender handled the ball inside the box. Tiger’s Welcome Patrick converted from the spot sending a drop of supporters in the Stadium into wild celebrations.

However, Tigers’ celebrations were cut short as Miscellaneous found a goal hardly a minute after Tigers’ goal. Miscellaneous launched a quick attack immediately after conceding and leveled matters.

Kamogelo Molemogi delivered a beautiful cross from the left and found Mooketsi Gareonne who made no mistake with a simple tap-in. Miscellaneous head coach, Cairo Sebopelo attributed his side’s performance to the very hot conditions especially in the first half. He said they came into the game targeting maximum points since a victory would have ensured that they needed just three points to seal their promotion.

“We wanted to win today so that we conclude our qualification next week when we play at home against Kazungula Young Fighters.

Now, we have dropped two valuable points which means we have to wait for another two weeks before we could seal our promotion.” He said they are not under pressure and will produce the goods in the remaining four games.

Tigers’ coach Anthony Timothy on the other hand was unhappy with his team’s concentration lapse. He said they failed to defend properly after they scored from a penalty. “We were unfortunate to concede just after we scored. We thought we had sealed a victory only to let ourselves down,” he said. He said the draw will not help their position in the log as there is no much difference of points between them and the bottom teams. “Everyone at the bottom can still relegate.” It is going to be a tough journey for the Maun team as they are left with three away games against, TAFIC, Kazungula and Tonota FC. They will play a home game against Mahalapye Hotspurs.
