Giants� fight for league survival

Killer Giants is in position nine and has accumulated 22 points. In their last match, Giants lost 2-1 to Mogoditshane Fighters. Makgolela told Mmegi Sport yesterday they have to fight to survive.

For his part, Terrors’ coach, Vincent Ramooki said he was not sure if his side would honour the fixture. He said the management has abandoned the club and players are not turning up for training. He revealed that some players are based in Charleshill, which is about 200 kilometres from Ghanzi and some are in Gaborone, about 800 kilometres away. “We have others staying here, but they do not come for training because there is no leadership.
“Despite that, when we play, we never lose with a high margin. It shows that with better management, we could not be in this position,” he said.
Terrors have one point and they are wallowing at the bottom of the log. Meanwhile, Terrors public relations officer, Thulaganyo Mbisi said there is no way they could not travel to Ramotswa because they are aware of the consequences. He said it is a challenge to raise funds needed to transport the team from Ghanzi. “We need P6, 000 for transport and we have 11 away games. The P50, 000 grant we get from the league sponsor is not enough. We depend on well-wishers to honour away fixtures,” he said.
In other matches, Jwaneng Galaxy FC welcomes Santos at Galaxy stadium while Black Peril is home to Lesirane City FC. Prisons take a trip to SSG ground to face Modipane United.
On Sunday, Mogoditshane Fighters take on Rolling Boys at Fighters ground and Sharps will be home to Black Forest.
