The 26-year-old is alleged to have committed the offence in Extension 9 last November. He was granted bail after the police said their investigations were complete. Sub Inspector, Seratswe of Central Police Station demanded that while out on bail, the accused must refrain from any criminal offence and must report to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) every Friday.

The magistrate Ntombizodwa Ncube agreed to the conditions when granting bail and said the accused must attend all court mentions. “He must refrain from criminal activities and also present himself before Central Police Station every Friday,” said Ncube. The accused will appear in court again on March 20.

Meanwhile 31-year-old Albert Ndaba of Phase Four in Gaborone appeared before Ncube and pleaded not guilty to two counts of malicious damage to property and indecent assault.

On the first charge, the state alleges that on March 30, 2013 Ndaba assaulted and injured a woman. On the second count, he is alleged to have destroyed the woman’s property worth P2,500.
