Kosher Nights sessions are famous for hosting urban flavoured gigs and international artists such as Cassper Nyovest, Reason and K.O. Previously, the sessions were hosted at a number of events before finding a new base at the up-market Cigar Lounge.

On Saturday night, the sessions started at a low pace with DJ Tumie Black Ace playing laid back old school Hip Hop. The number of revellers started increasing as time went on and the club filled up.

The DJs line up had the likes of Ozzy the Great, Root, Cupid and Ky Carter.  The tempo escalated when DJ Cupid took the decks mixing some Hip Hop and RnB on her set, which  attracted the crowd to the dance floor. The patrons seemed to enjoy the set as they sang along to a number of songs. Around midnight, the club was packed to the rafters with DJ KY Carter playing a mixture of Nigerian and South African music. The dance floor was overflowing  when the DJ played the famous Doc Shebeleza track by Cassper Nyovest. Revellers were seated in different areas of club such as the balcony, the indoor bar and the VIP section. The mood was lively and kicking with all the patrons wearing happy faces.

Kosher Nights organiser, Vaughan Mutambarah said the sessions have returned with an advanced style as they will not only be hosted in the capital city alone. “We will have sessions in major centres and towns in the country,” he said.

He said they are working on growing the Kosher Nights brand with the sessions hosted on month ends. Kosher Nights will be celebrating its third anniversary in May. Its sessions gained popularity and fame through promoting hip hop music and events such as I Love Hip Hop, which was hosted last year.
