Fighters were awarded the game 2-0.

Terrors are at the bottom of the log without a point.

The decision was taken last week after a match between Fighters and Terrors was abandoned, a fortnight ago, after a Terrors player assaulted the assistant referee.

Fighters were leading 1-0 when the match was called off. The development leaves Terrors with three points while Fighters are fourth with 26 points.

The match was abandoned after an off-the-ball incident involving Terrors player, Onneile Segwai and Gaofenngwe Khubalo of Fighters.

The referee did not spot the incident, but was alerted by his assistant referee, leading to Segwai being given a red card.

On his way out, the player slapped the assistant referee, who then said he could not continue with the game as a result of the assault.

The committee secretary, Sidney Magagane told Mmegi Sport yesterday that they were still going to call Terrors for a disciplinary hearing over the incident.

He said the committee would seek guidance from the Botswana Football Association (BFA) disciplinary committee over the misconduct of the player. Magagane said the player would be suspended until the conclusion of his case.

Meanwhile, Magagane said the game between Fighters and Killer Giants did not take place over the weekend due to poor communication between match officials and the committee.  He said the match would be re-scheduled.

Terrors failed to turn up for their match against Sharps Electrical and the committee will deliberate on the matter. In matches played on Saturday, Prisons XI beat Black Forest 3-1 and Jwaneng Galaxy played to a 1-1 draw against Modipane United.

Lesirane City FC walloped Santos 3-2 and Rolling Boys overcame Black Peril 4-1.

Boys’ spokesperson, Tshiamo Marekwa said their win against Peril was a sign that things were getting back on track.

He explained that losing against Galaxy in the previous game was a lesson.  He said they made some changes in the squad that played Peril and they brought results.

“We were three goals up before the 20th minute. That was an indication that we wanted to win the match.

“We do not care where we play, all we want is to collect points,” he said.

Boys play Prisons in the next encounter. Marekwa said they have never lost against Prisons and they intend to continue the trend but expected a tough match nonetheless.
