Orapa United eye second position

The Ostriches are undefeated in eight matches and lie third on 38 points, just two behind Rollers.

However, they face an equally improving Motlakase who are unbeaten in four matches. Rollers are not in league action until midweek as they have a CAF Champions League tie against South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs.

Orapa United spokesperson, Tebatso Hule said they are well aware of the threat that Chouka poses going into the encounter, but declared nonetheless that his charges are equal to the task.

“We have no significant injuries in the squad and our preparations are going good. We have no pressure going into this game.

“Motlakase could be underdogs looking at the position in the log, but that does not put any pressure on us.

“We have surpassed our initial target of top 8 and now we are enjoying ourselves. We will just be careful not to drop points,” he said.

Hule praised the brilliance of Patrick Motsepe who he said has settled well at Orapa and the form of Hendrick Moyo.

Meanwhile, Motlakase coach Mangisi Segadimo refused to be carried away by their recent good run of form.

He said their target is to move out of the relegation zone without putting any pressure on the players.

“We have seen that Orapa is very formidable, but we are going in for a win. We need to lift ourselves out of the relegation zone and we are taking one game at a time.

“Our preparations are going fine at the moment. Our players enjoy working with the coach, their mentality is good and he has instilled confidence in them,” said Segadimo.

Segadimo said captain Jomo Bolofete has since returned to training after recovering from injury, but remains doubtful for tomorrow’s game.

Segadimo urged supporters to remain resolute and rally behind the team at this critical time.
