Channel O DJ to rock Ghetto

His mixes are played at some of the biggest clubs and parties. DJ Andy X became a household name with house music followers in both SA and beyond borders after joining the popular music channel. It will be the first time that Andy X performances in Francistown, since becoming one of the most sought-after DJs in South Africa as well as other countries like Swaziland, Zimbabwe and Zambia. 

Dubbed One Night Stand with Andy X, the show promises to be an unforgettable one for the people of Francistown. His experience in the music mixing and disc jockeying says it all.

With the legendary DJ Bunz (Peter Gaetsewe) and DJ Da Drat taking on the supporting acts for the Channel O acclaimed disc jockey, house music fans in the country’s second largest city are in for a treat.

According to Lizard Entertainment management, the fun starts at 8pm. The club management hinted that a number of surprises have been lined up for revellers to dance the night away.  Lizard Entertainment manager, Mike Njuga, said the entrance fee will be P40 to accord house music fanatics an opportunity to enjoy sounds from a DJ who appeals to many across the continent.

“If he were not that appealing continentally, DJ Andy X wouldn’t have been given the disc jockeying role at the continental music channel, Channel O,” Njuga said.

He added that the idea is to give the best to patrons who have supported the joint since opening its doors.  He added: “DJ Andy X is our own African international star.  We are honoured to be hosting such an icon who is so loved in different countries across the continent more especially in the Southern African region”.  According to his biography, DJ Andy X started in playing Swaziland. He has also played in Mozambique, Angola, Namibia and Algeria.

“I always make sure that if I get to a country like Algeria, where they do not understand the lyrics of the songs, I give them a good time and entertain them. They just want to have a great time and I do what I can,” stated part of his biography.

DJ Andy X has produced hits like Shana Outs, Intombi Yaskwa Xhosa and many more.  He is currently working for a production company, which produces a lot of shows for M-Net, especially Vuzu and Channel O.
