The public need full information about 4G LTE

While this is highly welcome, the ordinary man out there needs to be educated on what 4G LTE technology is, how he can access it; which phones and features of the phones work better for the 4G experience.

Apparently, like HD, or 3D experience  which does not come with just any TV, the 4G experience also requires certain smartphones for full experience. As the excited members of the public prepare to enjoy the full benefits of 4G technology, they also deserve full education as to what other important lifestyle, medical, or educational benefits can be derived from this new arrival.Talk of 4G being super-fast, is welcome, but is not enough. It is now on Orange who have announced that 4G is now available in Gaborone immediately, to embark on this public education campaign about the technology revolution.

 

Response to the diamond city dream half-hearted 

We note with interest the announcement by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, that Government has taken on the task of tranforming Gaborone into the Diamond City. We welcome this show of commitment which appears on this year’s budget. This is also a strong indication that we have a Government that listens to the aspirations of its nation. The Diamond City dream was first debated by the Gaborone city council about two years ago, who dreamt of a city whose aesthetics, infrastructure, and lifestyle, reflected its new status as a world diamond centre. The Minister announced a P15 million budget for what he termed an, “aggressive project”. Realising the dream of a Diamond City, cannot be the job of the said Ministry alone and P15 million cannot help us achieve half of our dream of the Diamond City. It has to be a multi-billion Pula project that, amongst others, includes a highly developed road network system, a sophisticated lifestyle that takes into consideration the possible lifestyle taste of the diamantaries, a completely refreshing and sophisticated look and feel of the city that reflects the diamond glitter and that makes the diamond buyer want to stay longer and the tourist wants to stay longer.
