Masters will vacate his office after he was allegedly found in possession of pornographic material late last month.

This followed a raid in his office, which saw the police confiscate his laptop.

A Mmegi Sport source said the Englishman was reluctant to resign, but was forced out after a meeting with BFA president, Tebogo Sebego.

“He is leaving at the end of the month. He was initially reluctant to leave but was told to vacate in order to protect the image of the association,” the source said.

But, Sebego said it was incorrect that Masters was leaving office.

“Keith Masters is still the BFA CEO,” Sebego said when contacted for comment yesterday.

Sebego appointed Masters CEO in February 2013, but critics argued he has fallen short of expectations.

He came with a big reputation from the Kent Football Association in England. However, he has faced criticism over his work output with some unconvinced he is the right man for the job.

Sources said as a result of the grumblings, his foes had set him up leading to officers raiding his office and subsequent discovery of pornographic material.

According to the Cybercrimes and Computer Related Crimes Act, if Masters is found guilty of possession of pornographic material, he faces a fine of P5, 000 or a prison term not exceeding three months.

Reports say Masters was also found with large quantities of Viagra, a controlled substance.
