Rollers look to bounce back

In an interview, Rollers assistant coach, Zachariah Muzadzi said there are no suspensions in the team although they are limping with Jerome Louis out while Otlaantshekela Mooketsi is a doubt.

Muzadzi said they will go for the kill against an unpredictable Notwane side.

“We will be resting some of our players as we have a cup semi-final against BDFXI on the weekend,” Muzadzi said, dropping a hint that former Zebras players Dirang Moloi and Tshepo Motlhabankwe may feature as they did not play against Kaizer Chiefs in the CAF Champions League over the weekend.

Rollers will be relying on new signing Jerome Ramatlhakwane in the absence of team top goal scorer,  Louis who took a knock over the weekend. Defender, Mooketsi  picked up a shoulder injury in Johannesburg.

Notwane care-taker coach Fabian Zulu, said they do not believe that fatigue will be a problem for their opponents on the night looking at the pool of players Rollers have.

“We expect a tougher Rollers, as they might have learnt something from the CAF game, but we are well prepared,” Zulu told Mmegi Sport.

Notwane will be beaming with confidence after drawing with log leaders, Chiefs, in their last Premier League game.

But, it would be a crucial encounter for Rollers who are eager to keep pace with Chiefs as the title race heads for the home straight.

In today’s other match, BDF XI, who were also involved in a CAF club assignment over the weekend, take on Orapa United at the Itekeng Stadium.

Meanwhile, Rollers will address a press conference this morning to discuss, among others, preparations of the return CAF Champions League encounter against Kaizer Chiefs. The contentious issue of ticket pricing is expected to be explained at the briefing, which takes place at CA Sales at 11am.

Rollers has pegged Kaizer Chiefs match fees at P75 for the cheapest and P500 for the expensive seat, a move which has outraged some followers.
