He said this responding to a question by Member of Parliament (MP) for Boteti east, Sethomo Lelatisitswe, who asked the minister if he was aware that hundreds of students have been sent back home, as primary schools in Letlhakane could not admit more students.

“I am aware that some primary school children in Letlhakane returned home as school authorities were unable to admit them due to some schools having exceeded their maximum admission number,” Tsogwane said.

Tsogwane further admitted that his ministry was aware about shortage of classrooms in three of five of the primary schools in Letlhakane.

Tsogwane also said his Ministry through Central District Council has no plans of constructing a new primary school in Letlhakane but the proposal will be submitted amongst the priority projects for consideration during NDP 11.
