Jaded Terrors coach gives up

So bad is the situation at the club that it has only a point from all the games it has played since the beginning of the 2014-2015 season.
As a result, the winless Terrors are languishing at the bottom of the Debswana First Division South League log after suffering 10 defeats and drawing once.
Ramooki told Mmegi Sport yesterday that there was no way they could survive relegation as the going has become tougher and tougher as the season progresses.
He said the main challenge is that the club is without leadership as he is alone in the management. Ramooki said if there had been leadership, they would have come up with a plan to rescue the club.
“Players travel long distances every weekend to play games either in Gaborone, Mogoditshane or Modipane, which is expensive. At the beginning of the season, we received P50,000 grant from Debswana and it only lasted five matches. The grant was spent on transport only. I was unable to feed the players or purchase anything for them. The situation is bad and I do not see players that we have relegating with the club.
At the moment we depend entirely on well-wishers to assist the club fulfill fixtures,” he said. He pointed out that Gantsi has talented players but their challenge is lack of interest in the sport by the Ghanzi business community and unreliability of players. Ramooki said players come for training when they feel like. Otherwise they stay away. Another problem, he said, was that most of the time players did not train together and meet only on match day. He mentioned that some of the players are based in Gaborone. He suggested that the side should recruit quality players if they were to stay in the First Division League.
As things stand, Terrors will be lambs willingly going into a slaughterhouse when they visit Mogoditshane Fighters tomorrow.
Ramooki conceded that the match is going to be difficult, more so that they will be playing against a team that is chasing the title.
He said Fighters were a tough side with quality players. Terrors will be coming into the match after losing 4-2 to Modipane United.
Fighters on the other hand went down 1-0 to Prisons XI. In other matches this weekend, Prisons welcome Sharps Electrical at SSG ground while Killer Giants visit Black Peril in Tlokweng. Jwaneng Galaxy welcome Black Forest at Galaxy Stadium while Modipane take a short trip to Tsolamosese where Lesirane City will be waiting. UFS Santos and Rolling Boys will battle it out at Fighters ground. Kick off times is 4pm.
