The single will be launched in Francistown and Gaborone on dates yet to be announced. The video will also be shot soon. The rapper-cum-producer who hails from Francistown said the single, which comes with a parental advisory label, celebrates the beauty of women in Botswana.
“Top Shambol is a feel good song about beautiful girls being pursued by men who want friendship and romantic liaisons from them. It is different from my two previous singles. It’s a danceable tune which has a dash of kwaito and hip hop,” he said.
B-block Exclusive has released three singles so far, namely Hotel Lafayette featuring K.e.b, Patiently Waiting featuring Dxl Damaj, Shay and Appollo Diablo and the current one, Top Shambol featuring Klasic. The artist further said that because he has so far managed to release three singles, he intends to work on a full album, which is going to be released this August. He said the envisaged album is expected to feature among others, Apollo D, Zeus, Samba T, K.e.b, Klassic, Lil Koola, Noello, Kheza Matofane, Ottiza, Maff Bizness, Leo, Dxl, G-don, Love Lace, Mic Touch and Touch.
“So far I have received positive feedback about my singles. I promise my fans that the 16-track album is going to be great as it features some of the leading names in the industry,” said the artist.
B-block Exclusive said his album could be downloaded from a link that is available on his Facebook page. He has also sent the track for free through WhatsApp.
He also said he is determined to succeed to prove that artists based in the North could be just as successful as Gaborone based ones.
The rapper said his upcoming album is called, Patiently Waiting; aptly so because he has patiently waited for his breakthrough.
The 26-year-old started rapping at the age of 14. When he was 18 he started producing his own beats. In 2008, he joined the hip-hop group Gwap Goons, who released two mixtapes, one in 2009 and the other in 2010.
B-Block Exclusive is also an entrepreneur who runs his own fashion label.
