Juice tasting for the Healthy generation

The juices and smoothies were made from different fruits and vegetables such as pineapples, lemons, oranges, carrots, spinach, ginger and avocados. The drinks have been given names such as Sesame Street, Sweet Greens, Mint Melody and Nutty Professor. Healthy Generation focuses on promoting a healthy lifestyle by selling healthy foods made from fruits and vegetables. The lime-green painted food outlet gave the general public an opportunity to taste its new experimental juices and smoothies made from fruits and vegetables.
Some enjoyed the process while some made funny faces after tasting, showing that they did not appreciate the flavours. Health Generation social media marketer, Uyapo Ketogetswe, told Showtime that the fast food outlet had come up with new recipes that they had been working on for quite some time. They decided to get the public’s opinion first before putting them on the market.
“We believe the public has the best opinion when it comes to this because at the end of the day they are our consumers and they know what is best for them,” he said. Ketogetswe mentioned that after the tasting session, the Health Generation team will evaluate what the general public was saying about their new products and that is when they can decide what to add on the menu.
He further stated that with these tasting sessions Health Generation is trying to make Batswana aware of nutritious drinks that do not have preservatives and additives. Some of the people who attended the tasting session were more interested in knowing the recipes used by Kgotla and Changu the juice mixers, who prefer to be called the Juice Killers because of their creative recipes. One of the best juices that Showtime tasted at Health Generation was the Pine-Banana Spilt, which is made from pineapples, bananas, strawberries and blueberries. It had a priceless taste that can make one keep asking for more.
