Jwaneng Galaxy maintain good run

Kenanao Kgetholetsile netted the only goal of the match from a spot kick after Olebogeng Malebye was fouled in the in the box. The goal came five minutes before the halftime break.
The visitors showed their intention to grab maximum points from in the early stages of the game. Mosimanegape Ngongorego’s attempt hit the side netting as early as the 10th minute. They launched another attack moments later withThebe Maiketso and Malebye exchanging passes, but their attempt at goal was thwarted by goalkeeper. Killer were not to be outplayed and they also took the game to the visitors. Thabang Kgamanyane tried a shot in the 19th minute but he missed the target. Kgetholetsile took a shot a goal which passed just in front of a goal mouth with nobody to tap in. The goal finally came in the 40th minute through a penalty which Kgetholetsile calmly converted.
Giants came from recess a changed side, using wings which forced Galaxy to conceded too many corner kicks. Rakhobo tried to take a long range shot but his effort went over the bar. Kgamanyane took a brilliant shot on target forcing Anthony Gouws to stretch and make a save in the 50th minute. Giants made double substitutions in the 82th minute, throwing in Gofaone Mabaya and Desmond Mtokufa. The two brought changes in the midfield, increasing the supply upfront Ginats could not get the much needed equaliser.
Galaxy coach, Oris Radipotsane was happy with the maximum points, but admitted that Giants were a difficult opponent on the day. “It is unfortunate that we are playing under high temperatures and it affects the quality of football displayed. We are unable to be tactical, instead we just fight for a win. There is nothing we can do due to the unavailability of grounds with floodlights,” he said.
For his part, Giants coach, Kingsley Makgolela was not comfortable with the decision to award Galaxy a penalty. He felt that the side did not come to the party and their play was not convincing especially in the second stanza.
“We were all over them and we were unable to covert our chances into goals. Some of the decisions that the referee took were questionable. A team cannot be elevated to the Premier League that way,” said Makgolela.
