Flo Cater: The business-minded rapper

The 23-year-old passionate rapper who holds a degree in Sound Engineering told Showbiz that he wants to utilise his Hip Hop expertise to become a mogul through rap music.  He is signed under Deezone Music Group (DMG).

He recently released a music video for his single Swagga Eso, which is said to be the most expensive music video in the country.  The video features former Miss Botswana, Sumaiyah Marope.

“To me music is a business.  I am currently working with experts who will help me produce quality work,” Flo Cater said.

He further stated that his production team comprises of songwriters, professional music producers and a creative research team.

He explained he wants to venture into music-related avenues such as producing a Hip Hop TV show, producing music and music administration. Flo Cater, who is also a sound engineer for entertainment TV show, Pula Power is currently working on his new material to be released this year.  The emcee said collaborations with Sasa Klaas, DJ Dave Wave, Canada-based Crank Kidd and South Africa’s K.O. are in the pipeline.  He said he does not want to segment his market, explaining that he caters for music lovers across the board.

“That’s why there is no swearing in my music.  I want everyone, including children, to listen and sing along to my music,” he said.

He said he is currently working on using live instruments on stage like what his American counterparts, The Roots.   He previously released tracks such as Time Hectic, which received airplay in places such as Los Angels, USA.
