Dying man names his stabber

The victim was rushed to Princess Marina Hospital where he was immediately admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, before succumbing to the injuries a few hours later.

Broadhurst Station Commander, Superintendent Bonosi Molapisi said, “the incident was reported to us by someone who saw the deceased lying on the ground, and we are not sure if there was a fight or what”.

Molapisi said they are yet to establish what caused the fight between the deceased and the suspect, who is in police custody.

“The deceased told the stranger who helped him the names of the suspect and we managed to arrest him,” he said.

Meanwhile, police in Tlokweng are looking for a hit-and-run driver who left a woman in a critical state. The woman, currently in hospital and unable to speak, is believed to be a Zimbabwean national.

“We have such a case at our station but it is so unfortunate that it was a hit-and-run incident and we are still looking for the culprit. The lady is critical and we are yet to know her identity. All we can ask is for the community to help us with any information regarding the incident so we can bring the culprit to book,” he said.
