GNT fight back to draw with Amakhosi

The four goals were scored by Tichana Mothibedi and Otsile Kediegile for GNT and Michael Murirwa and Lesego Motswedi for Amakhosi FC.
Kediegile’s close range shot 14 minutes before the final whistle gave the police dominated GNT a share of spoils in a game in which their last line of defence showed signs of slackness throughout. Amakhosi looked exciting at the start and pushed GNT to defend deep with former TAFIC star, Godfrey Lemporwana, dictating proceedings.
A combination of adventurous play and GNT goalkeeper David Puso’s uneasiness between the posts gave Amakhosi the opening goal in the 30th minute. The goalkeeper failed to gather a lame effort from Murirwa that ended in the net to give Amakhosi a 1-0 lead. Murirwa gained possession in midfield and dribbled past one marker before raising his head to see that Puso was off guard. The attacking midfielder released a lame shot that bounced just in front of Puso into the net. The stunned goalkeeper accused his defence of failing to protect him. Ten minutes later, GNT got a penalty after Lemporwana brought down sleek winger, Matlhogonolo Kgoboka inside the box. Tichana stepped up to send Kabelo Mutumba the wrong way to ensure the teams were tied 1-1 at half time. After the break, GNT came back strongly and created a number of chances that they failed to convert. Zwangu Majeremane and Aobakwe Mopaki were the main culprits in the wastefulness. In the 72nd minute, Amakhosi scored their second goal but the celebrations were cut short after GNT leveled immediately through the slippery Otsile Kediegile, whose off the ball movement is superb. He received a good pass from Batshwere Olebeng in the box and rifled home for a 2-2 result.
