The man, identified as John Mogosi blocked the stadium entrance, disrupting traffic after the game.

Majombolo were pushed to 15th on the 16-team table and face the grim reality of relegation.

The Orapa United team bus was delayed for almost 15 minutes as the fan refused to budge despite pleas from some of his friends.

“This is our team. And we cannot continue folding our arms when the team is not performing well because of poor management.

“The chairperson must go now because he is failing to run the club,” the die-hard Nico fan barreled, as he jostled with officials.

Former Selebi-Phikwe Regional Football Association chairperson, Tebro Onkabetse intervened and convinced the fan to yield for the sanity of all.

Onkabetse confirmed one of their fans caused a scene after the game, but conceded his concerns were genuine.

“When the team is not performing well, fans will not be happy,” he said.

However, Mothusi Taolo, the Nico chairperson had to delay leaving the stadium, as there was commotion at the gate was quick to point out that the way the fan vented his anger was unacceptable.

“We called the fan for a hearing and he has since been reprimanded. It came to our realisation that his emotions overwhelmed him,” Taolo said.

He (Taolo) said the management is doing everything in its power to ensure the team returns to winning ways.
