Four men found with 34 stolen goats

According to Broadhurst Acting Station Commander, Assistant Superintendent Nelson Selabe the four men - Semanka Koitswe (54), Mothusi Maotswe (20), Elijah Madimakwane (31) Shinka Nkwe (51) from Oodi - were found in possession of the 34 suspected stolen goats.

Selabe said the men drove the animals, all belonging to one person from Mosese lands to Dikgonyeng lands. They were arrested last week and are out on bail.

“Our preliminary investigations have so far shown that all the 34 stolen goats belonged to one person and they were ferried between the two lands by the suspects with the intention to steal,” he explained.

Selabe further said that at the time of their apprehension, the suspects were busy skinning one of the goats.

Selabe expressed concern at increasing cases of stock theft in Kgatleng District and called on the community to cooperate and work with police in busting the stock theft syndicate.
