Rampant BDF IX Maul Police

Actually the match was stopped before time at bottom five when mercy rule was applied to save Police IX. Jurry Manaka opened the flood gates for BDF IX when he registered the first inning.

This saw BDF IX scoring four runs and it became clear that their opponents would not be able to sustain the game.  It was only in the fourth inning that BDF IX did not register a run.  But by then they had already done enough damage as they have been able to post nine past the bemused cops.  This saw the game being stopped at bottom five.

Police IX coach John Nkwane said they did not get it right at it was their first game after the festive season break.  He said all their players were not back, adding that they have been plagued by injuries.  He however, believes his team will recover.

His BDF IX counterpart, James Moremedi said all went according to plan as the players followed instructions.  “I knew they were going to come up with drop balls and this is what we have been practising,” he said, adding that they had to take precautions against Police IX because the last encounter with them was tough.
