Miscellaneous resume title hunt

Miscellaneous have 24 points from 11 outings and will look to improve their home record.

The two sides shared the spoils in the first round. Miscellaneous did not managed a single victory at home in the first round, with three draws and one loss.

Miscellaneous may introduce a few signings after the club indicated it would sign players across all departments to improve their title fighting credentials.

There is a full programme to mark the start of the second round tomorrow.  High riding Mahalapye Hotspurs welcome perennial strugglers Tonota FC at Railways Ground.

Tonota will look to reverse the 1-0 home defeat they suffered against the Mahalapye outfit in the season opener.

However against Spurs, the visitors face a side that has enjoyed a rich vein of form and lie third with 16points. Struggling TAFIC are home to inconsistent Kazungula FC.

TAFIC lost their season opener against Kazungula by a solitary goal in a match riddled with controversy. TAFIC sit at position 10 in the 12 team league and their assistant mentor Mmoloki Sechele recently told Mmegi Sport that they will sign not less than six players in the current transfer window to improve their fortunes.

Kazungula are sixth with 13 points and will look to improve from a performance, which they displayed when they defeated leaders, Miscellaneous late last year. Amakhosi FC welcome high riding Serowe outfit Green Lovers at Shopia Grounds in Francistown.

Eighth placed Amakhosi have endured poor form of late following a bright start. They have lost two consecutive matches at the close of the first against Palapye All Stars FC and Tsabothe FC, conceding eight goals and scoring two in the process.  On the other hand, Green Lovers have looked like real title contenders, registering five wins, five draws and a single loss in the first round and currently trail Miscellaneous by four points.

Palapye All Stars will be home to relegation threatened Maun Tigers. All Stars are fifth with 14 points while Tigers are 11th with 11 points.

This match is open to both clubs as they have been inconsistent and are separated by marginal points.

In the only clash on Sunday, another struggling Francistown side, ninth placed TASC FC will welcome fellow strugglers Great North Tigers (GNT) in a derby at the Francistown stadium.  Though they are the bottom with 10 points, Tigers have not lost many matches, as their undoing has been inability to convert their chances. The team has not lost just three times, drawn seven and won once.

With their credentials they may prove a hard nut to crack against a TASC side that is not that convincing.

TASC managed 12 points in the first round.
