Kemoeng, Sedimo make BNSC CEO shortlist

Current acting BNSC CEO, Thato Kgosimore is also among the contenders. An independent panel, appointed by the BNSC is reportedly handling the selection process and the race is now down to five.

Once the recruitment panel settles on a name, it would be passed on to the Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture for cabinet’s approval.

The commission came into effect after Parliament approved changes in the Sports Act, which would see the streamlining of sports administration. The new body would ensure that there is no duplication of roles as was the case under the present tripartite arrangement, which has the BNSC, the DSR and the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC).
