Off Campus artists to perform in Zimbabwe

The Pink Concert is a show that promotes women’s rights in Zimbabwe and fights against gender-based violence, breast cancer and child marriage through music.

The three artists are award-winning RnB singer Orapeleng ‘Spiza Valentino’ Ntholwa, Amantle Ntshole and Maureen ‘Bouncy’ Maila.  They will be performing alongside legendary poet Albert Nyathi, Pax Gomo and South African musician, Koliwe Koliwe.

The entertainment agency’s publicist, Osi Lashani, said the organisers of the Pink concert decided to invite Off Campus Events artists after jazz maestro, Thabang Gorogwe, impressed them. 

Gorogwe, who is also under the agency, staged a splendid performance alongside music guru Oliver Mtukudzi in Harare last year. 

He said they are looking forward to establishing a relationship with Zimbabwean musicians and working with some of them.

“We are looking forward to penetrating the international scene and give people music with a Setswana element,” he said, adding that performing beyond boarders is one of the New Year resolutions of agency.

Lashani stated that the three artists have new music that they recently released that would definitely leave the audience asking for more.

“Last week we recorded a surprise song for our Zimbabwean audience that the three musicians will perform at the event.  It is specially dedicated for the Pink concert,” he said.

He added that they were felt honoured with the invitation and privileged to help promote activism for women’s issues in the neighbouring country.

 The concert will be hosted at Reps Theatre in Harare.
