SOS national director Motshwari Kitso applauded the company for having adopted the house for 10 years. He however called on companies to adopt other houses saying that the village had 16 houses and that there were many houses up for adoption as the institution could not afford to revamp and furniture all the houses. “ Zac Construction has done a commendable job as renovating this house ensures that the house does not pose any threat or risk to the lives of the children. For a company to sponsor a house, they have to be responsible for day-to-day activities that happen in the house,” he said. He pointed out that the company was helping them achieve their goal of providing a loving home to less privileged children. From District Commissioner’s house, Peggy Mbe thanked the company for its good gesture. She called on the area’s councillor who embraced the ceremony Kenneth Kgosimore to put a good word for SOS at the council so that the government could find ways to help them.

She emphasized that even though the institution was doing a good job in caring for the underprivileged children and orphans, it could not live on running around asking for donations. She said the government had to also put an effort and maybe increase funds so that SOS homes could run smoothly.

SOS village director, Molefe Madikwe pointed out that Zac Construction had contributed tremendously in the society including sports.

“Zac has always been there for Batswana therefore I would like to request the government when giving out tenders to look at companies that have helped underprivileged children. These companies should be given the first priority as they are playing a major role in our societies,” he said.

He promised that they were going to take care of the house and keep it safe for the children.

Zac Construction owner Tony Zakham said he was happy to lend a helping hand to SOS. We vowed to continue supporting the house whenever they needed help.

The construction company renovated house number four, painted it and bought new furniture that includes fridge, beds, couches, television set, dinner tables and more.
