The 17-year-old Moeding Secondary School student is one of the youngest winners to win a BOMU award.

To shoot the video,  rising star’s management team has appointed a South African director.

The shoot takes place in a fortnight and will be launched next month in Gaborone.  Kealeboga Mosekiemang also known as Black Gypsy, Feine’s manager, said they decided to engage a South African director because they want a high quality video.

“Far Away is the song in her album that she was nominated for in three categories last year. We do not take the award and the nominations lightly hence the need to build on that with a high quality video,” Black Gypsy told Showbiz.

He added that Feine is excited about the nominations and feels indebted to her supporters. “She wants the video to be of top notch quality. The electro music new arrival burst into the scene early last year with the single Coconut Fans before following up with a video titled At War. She was buoyed by American photographer Lauren Rheims’ who likened her to Barbadian songstress Rihanna after hearing her maiden single,” he said.

Rheims went on to design the album cover for the single free of charge.

The teenager says her biggest dream for her music career is to grow to become internationally acclaimed. “I want to go international with my music, I grew up listening to international music and that is where I draw my inspiration,” she said.  Feine already has a deal with Tanzania’s Swahili Digital International Distribution, which will ensure that her music is sold on online platforms.

The teenage singer is convinced that she inherited her musical talent from her parents who sing in the church choir.

Apart from music, the Form Four student has a passion and talent for drawing, which has earned her praise from her teachers and peers.
