The club chairperson, Sydney Magagane told Mmegi Sport yesterday that Matshidiso Moseki has been appointed as the assistant to Nare.

However, both Nare and BMC FC could not be reached for comment yesterday as their phones rang unanswered.

Nare is the third coach to guide Letlapeng since they gained promotion to the beMOBILE Premier League this season following the departure of Nelson Olebile and Thaloba Nthaga.

Magagane explained that it is not the first time Nare has coached the side as he was in charge of Letlapeng during the 2007-2008 season when it was fighting for promotion to the First Division.

He mentioned that it was unfortunate that Nare left the side and joined Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

“When Nare left the club, the team that was in first position had a goal advantage that saw it through.

“Moseki took over from Nare and we got promoted to the first division the following season.

“Nare and Moseki know the culture of the club and they know where to correct for the club to do well,” he said.

Nare joined the club at a time when it was languishing at the bottom of the be MOBILE Premier League log with only eight points from the 15 matches they have so far played.

The side has won two matches, drew two, lost 11 and conceded 27 goals in the process.

Magagane explained that they expected Nare to use his experience to turn the fortunes around at the club.

He said despite being at the bottom of the log, the club has a chance to improve their position.

He stressed that there is no need to press panic buttons yet and they are not under pressure.

“We just have to apply ourselves when the second round starts. If we win a few games we will be out of the relegation zone,” said Magagane.

He mentioned that the coach has recommended five players that Letlapeng should recruit.

He noted that the aim was to beef up the squad with experienced players.

Magagane who said his players were not for sale, added that they did not intend to part ways with any player or overhauling the entire team.
