Ready for the second round kick- off

Fighters’ coach, Mpho Mabogo told Mmegi Sport yesterday that just like any club in the league, they intend to beef their squad. He explained that some departments especially attack and defence needs reinforcement.

The Brazilians, have accumulated six goals and found the back of the net on 15 occasions. Mabogo said the idea is to gain promotion to the Premier League and that is possible if they get the right players.

He noted that the most important thing is to score more goals and avoid conceding. He stated that for the club to achieve its targets, it should win matches.

“We cannot gain promotion if we do not score goals and win matches. Our target is to see ourselves playing in the elite league next season. We just have to look at the right places because there is so much talent out there,” he said.

Mabogo said the management has not informed him of any club showing interest in Fighters players.

He stated that since the transfer window has just opened, he cannot rule out losing players to other clubs. The second round of the league kicks off on January 17 and

Fighters started preparations yesterday.

The side ended the first round in third position with 21 points, the same as leaders Jwaneng Galaxy and second placed UF Santos who are ahead on goal difference.
