Kazungula end Miscellaneous unbeaten run

The Kazungula-based outfit  cut Miscellaneousí unbeaten run in the now on recess Debswana First Division North League to a halt with a slim 1-0 victory at the Prisons Grounds on Saturday afternoon.

A solitary strike from Michael Kefetogile handed the Kazungula side a  well-deserved win over the Serowe side,  who however remain at the top of the log table despite the weekend loss.

Being the last match for the first half, the loss at the hands of the a seemingly stuttering Kazungula could serve as a perfect wake up call for the league pacesetters ahead of the January transfer window period.

For Kazungula, the weekend win saw the police dominated side moving at least three places up the ladder to seventh. Both teams created half chances in what was  a pretty open first 45 minutes.

Inevitably,  neither Kazungula goalkeeper nor his Miscellaneous counterpart was called upon to make a save in that time.

After the breather, it  was the home side that reaped from their continued forages  for the goals.

It was in the 73rd minute, when Kefetogile picked a loose ball just outside the box and negotiated his way past three defenders before unleashing a scorcher into the Miscellaneousí net. Being the first loss for the Serowe-based side, the question was how the Kazungula outfit managed to do what 10 other teams had failed since the beginning of the season. We concentrated on the weaknesses of Miscellaneous and capitalised on them,î said the Kazungula team manager, Rebaone Ramatampe, in an interview with Mmegi Sport soon after the game.

However, he could not be drawn into discussing the weaknesses that the team capitalised on to bring the Miscellaneousí wheels to a grinding halt.  But he was quick to reveal that they had been studying Miscellaneous for some time.
