Somolekae is the new BPL chairperson

Somolekae replaces Mokganedi Molefe who has been at the helm despite his team, Uniao Flamengo Santos having been relegated last season.

Somolekae was standing for the position against Gaborone United (GU) chairperson, Fidelis Nkomazana and came tops during the BPL board meeting on Saturday. Somolekae received nine votes while Nkomazana got seven.

Monnakgotla Mojaki of FC Satmos was also elected as the new vice chairperson, beating Solomon Mantswe of Police XI to the position.

Mojaki received nine votes, while Mantswe was voted by seven people. Township Rollers’ chairperson, Walter Kgabong is the new treasurer.
