Ramosoeu continues to shine for Wits

This comes after Ramosoeu scored the 10th minute winner over Ajax Cape Town in the Absa Premiership game played at the Bidvest Stadium in Johannesburg on Wednesday night. The win ensured that Wits moved into the sixth position with 34 points from 22 games.

Ramosoeu played for 83 minutes before being substituted by Sifiso Myeni and received a huge applause from a few supporters who turned up for the game.  Though Wits finished the game with 10 men after Rene Richards was shown a second yellow card in the dying minutes of the game, Ramosoeu proved vital as the Cape side failed to come back into the game. The Wednesday goal was his third in the Absa Premiership after scoring against Platinum Stars, Thanda Royal Zulu and Ajax.

Speaking to Mmegi Sport from Johannesburg yesterday, De Sa said that the Botswana star has done a fantastic job for his side since joining them. 'He has scored a couple of goals for us in the few games he has played and will continue to contribute to the team.

He is a very disciplined young boy and I have no issues with him,' he said. Ramosoeu has signed a two-year contract with the 'Clever Boys' and De Sa believes that the former Botswana Under-23 international will play a major role during the period as they build a strong side.

'We are building for the future and a top eight finish is our target. But that does not mean that we cannot push ourselves unless something happens to SuperSport (log leaders with 46 points),' the Wits coach pointed out.  De Sa told Mmegi Sport that he came to know about Ramosoeu from his brother, Simione.'We have always been in touch with Simione because he is a personal friend. He told me about him (Samuel) and we invited him to come for trials. We were impressed by what we saw and he signed. He spent some time with our developmental side before joining during the last window,' he said.  Since being promoted to the senior side from their feeder team, Bid Boys which campaigns in the Castle League, Ramosoeu has been in the talking lips of almost every Motswana for his brilliant performances on the right wing.

It is his perfect ball control and speed which continues to haunt opponents in the Absa Premiership.  Even national team coach Stanley Tshosane was recently quoted in the media saying that he has been impressed by the performances of the winger and will consider inviting him to the camp for the upcoming assignments. Samuel is the brother to national team goalkeeper Noah Maposa.

Ramosoeu will be on the spotlight when they travel to the Olympia Park in Rustenburg next Wednesday for a date against Moroka Swallows in the last 32. After that they have another tricky fixture away to Kaizer Chiefs in the Absa Premiership.
