Mothudi was named the most valuable player, best server and best attacker in men’s categories, which won him P3, 000, P2, 000 and another P2, 000 in that order.

On the other hand, Mafolofolo women’s team player, Tsholofelo Retshabile also walked away with the most valuable player award which went with a P3, 000 cheque.

She also clinched the best attacker (women) award which carried a P2, 000 prize tag.

The awards ceremony followed a highly contested season where both Kutlwano teams won the two league titles.

While Mothudi helped his side win the league title, Retshabile was instrumental in her side’s campaign, despite only settling for a silver medal in the end.

In the best male attacker, Mothudi beat BDF VI’s Kabo Moetse for the prize as well as Bokao Nagafela of Spiking Stars. He pipped Nagafela again and Happy Ribbin of Police VI for the best male server award.

Retshabile on the other hand beat Kutlwano’s enterprising player, Tebogo Sejewe and Chada Mahaja of BDF VI for the best female attacker award.

Sejewe however did not go home empty handed as she consoled herself with the best female server award, beating Monica Alfred of Kalavango and Taboka Tema of Mafolofolo.

Rebabonye Pastor of Diphatsa and Alfred were named the best male and female blockers respectively.

The award for the best female receiver went to Mahaja, the loser in the best female attacker prize, while Patrick Tlale came tops in the male category. Kutlwano coaches, Dopp Popo and Isaac Samuel walked away with the best coaches’ awards.

Samuel led the men’s team while Popo was at the helm when the women’s team took the title and the mouthwatering P100, 000 prize.

Mafolofolo women’s team settled for the silver while Kalavango finished third and pocketed P70, 000 and P60, 000 respectively. Police VI men’s team finished second behind Kutlwano while the once dominant side, BDF VI settled for bronze.
