Tough battle expected at the BOMUs

There is a good mix of exciting young talent and veterans battling in different categories in this year’s edition, which promises to be the most exciting by far.

R&B singers Spiza Valentino and Feine are among the youngsters expected to cause a stir at the awards. There are also established acts such as Euri, Nono and Thabang who are bringing a wealth of experience to the competition.

One of the toughest categories is that of Best Hip Hop/Rap/Motswako Album, which pits the finest players in the business against each other being Euri, Kast, Young Black and Epic.  All four rappers have released outstanding Hip Hop albums and fans will find it difficult to decide who is best among them.

The best Jazz Album category also comes as another category that has heavyweights Thabang and Nono who cannot afford to underestimate both Mshilo and Tebogo Ketlhomilwe. Another hotly contested category is for Best RnB Album, which has pitted two rookies Spiza Valentino for his Rosarie and Feine whose entry is the self-titled album, Feine.

Following a glitzy ceremony at the Yarona Music Awards (YAMAS), BOMU has been thrown the challenge of coming up with something more glamorous.  If their recent marketing is anything to go by then a great night of celebrating talent can be anticipated.

Performances are expected from different artists such as BK Proctor and Vee.
