Local artists gear up for a busy festive

 

Showbiz caught up with some artists to find out where they will be performing during the festive season.

Five-time BOMU award nominee Oteng ‘Dj Oats’ Moshotle revealed that he would be going on a nationwide tour, during the festive period, from December 13 to 26. His national tour will see him perform in places like Maun, Francistown, Thamaga and Tutume.

Dj Oats who has shared the stage with the likes of Oliver Mtukudzi said he would take upcoming artists from his stable, House University, with him on the tours.

Magadaline ‘Charma Gal’ Mogwe and her group Culture Spears will perform at various places in the northern part of Botswana. Culture Spears will be accompanied by their stable-mates, Jeff Matheatau and Mantswabisi, on their Kulenyane festive tour.

“We will perform in places such as Bobirwa, Palapye Tswapong and in other places that we have never toured before,” said Charma Gal.

Boy band Team Distant will also stage a nationwide tour, introducing a set of their new dance group called Mbazi Dance Crew. The house group is also expected to perform in Kasane and Kanye.

The group will be among those billed to perform at the Orange Monyaka show in Palapye on December 20.

Twerk queen Bouncy is scheduled to perform at the much-anticipated Pop Bottles Party in Serowe on Christmas day, which is organised by fellow musician A.T.I. The songstress will be in Molepolole two days after the Serowe event.

For BK Proctor, this will be spiritual festive season as he plans to spend the New Year’s Eve at the Cross Over Candle Light crusade, to held at the National Stadium.

The talented composer-producer will host a few shows before his grace night. This Saturday he will perform with Vee during the BOMU awards.
