Eight clubs have completed their 11 first round matches while four teams have played 10 matches each.

All top five teams in the league are from the central region. Serowe side, Miscellaneous lead the pack with 24 points from ten outings.

Another Serowe side, Green Lovers is second four points, but having played a game more.

In third place is another central region side, Mahalapye Hotspurs with 16 points from 10games.

Serowe outfit Tsabothe FC and Palapye All Stars, also of the central region, complete the top five teams with 15 and 14 points respectively from 11 outings each.

Tonota FC who began the season poorly, but have managed to claw their way back into contention saw them finish the first round at position six with 13 points after their weekend draw with Great North Tigers (GNT).

Francistown-based outfit the Amakhosi have endured bad form in recent weeks with consecutive losses that included their numbing 5-0 defeat by rookies, Tsabothe on Saturday. The team occupies seventh spot with 13 points by virtue of an inferior goal difference compared to Tonota.

Behind Amakhosi is another Francistown club TASC who have also seen their fortunes wane this season.

The Tango Boys have managed six draws, two wins and three losses in the first round.

The going has proved tougher in the First Division for TAFIC following their relegation from the Premier League last season.

The highly revered Francistown side is placed near the relegation zone at position nine with 12 points trailing cross-town rivals TASC on goal difference.

Maun Tigers and Kazungula Young Fighters are at position 10 and 11 respectively. Kazungula have however played 10 matches, a game less than Tigers.

In bottom place is GNT who have won a single match, a derby against TAFIC. Tigers have nine points from 10 matches.

On Saturday Kazungula will play Miscellaneous while GNT will be home to Hotspurs to complete the outstanding fixtures.
