Due to his newly acquired status as a debutant legislator, Keorapetse is not likely to defend his position because of a busy schedule. The BCPYL is scheduled to hold an elective congress in April 2015.

The party has not yet confirmed the day and place. Currently, there is a lobby list doing the rounds about the congress.

In this lobby list, Rakgare who contested and lost the Mogoditshane parliamentary constituency wants the presidency of the league. Motlhaleemang Moalosi who also tried his luck and lost at Shashe West constituency will deputise him.

The incumbent vice president is Okavango MP Bagalatia Arone.

Thato Osupile would like to make a comeback as a secretary general. He will battle it out with the incumbent Leonard Maswibilili. Naledi North councillor Oarabile Motlaleng will contest for chairperson against the serving officer Tshegofatso Raditlhokwa. Nthabiseng Jacobs will try his luck for the position of treasurer against Tebogo Molefe. Pako Madigele  will contest as a publicity secretary candidate.

The incumbent is attorney Martin Dingake who was  appointed the presidential spokesperson a few months before the general elections.

Just like Keorapetse, Dingake and Arone are not likely to defend their positions.  Keorapetse did not want to comment about the elective congress.

Rakgare said he was still thinking about whether to contest or not. He said they were still discussing the issue internally with other BCP youth.
