Both teams were tied at 126 runs after 20 overs, which meant a super over had to settle the contest.

Again, the teams were tied with 16runs at the end of the super over but Pakistan had scored more runs -six- of the last ball compared to Botswana (one), which decided the contest.

Pakistan batsman Sharzaib Khan scored six runs while Botswana’s James Moses scored one run off the last ball.

“I have accepted the loss and the decision that was taken since it is part of the rules and regulations of the game,” Motlhanka said.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC) the super over is an eliminator over that is played when teams finish with the same score in a T20 game.

However Motlhanka was not impressed with umpires Imran Zakir from Sri Lanka and Sachi Weeratunge from Pakistan’s handling of the game.

He said the umpires turned down Saad Moyhuddin’s catch in the first over from an Ali Marzi shot saying it was dropped.

He further mentioned that the umpires did not do justice when they adjudged Rashaad Mosweu out through a leg before wicket decision (lbw), arguing it was not an lbw.

During the match players such as James Moses expressed their anger towards the umpires.

Meanwhile in the southern region T20 league there was no action due to a wet outfield, which meant the two teams, Ditlhase and Tladi shared the points.
