Galaxy is on top due to a superior goal difference.  Fighters drew level with Galaxy after demolishing Black Peril 3-0 while the Jwaneng side was rocked 3-1 by Sharps Electrical last weekend. Fighters’ coach, Mpho Mabogo said the win against Peril had motivated them as they prepare to face Galaxy.

He said while many consider the match as a big clash, to them it was just like any other league game. He admitted that Galaxy is a tough side but said they have not made special preparations for them. He said if they had prepared differently, it was going to affect their usual programme and put players under pressure.  Mabogo stated that they are bad travellers but hoped this will not affect the mood in the camp.

He said his technical department has found out that players tend to lose concentration, which gives opponents easy goals. “I have confidence in my players and at the end of the day, I expect them to get the needed results,” he added.

Galaxy coach, Oris Radipotsane said the intention is to finish the first round on a positive note and winning tomorrow’s game will be a big boost.  He said when the league commenced, their aim was to win all their first round matches but this has not been possible. He said the wins would have meant that they were in a good position to get promoted to the be Premier League next season. Radipotsane said the preparations for the match against Fighters would have gone well.

“People expect us not to register losses because we have signed big names in local football. Having big names does not mean the club will not lose. We just have to make sure that we do not lose focus. In our last game, we did not undermine Sharps. They are a good side, that is why they are in the First Division,” he said.

Galaxy has lost two away games and drawn two and Radipotsane said this is not good at all and they must take remedial measures. He lamented the last minute changes to venues and kick off time affects his charges.
