Molefinyane targets X-mas season with new range

He said that he would be giving his clients the opportunity to celebrate their places of origin and their religious convictions through the T-shirts.

In one of the ranges, borrowing from the once popular ‘I Love NY’ (New York) concept, Molefinyane allows his customers to add their favourite places and destinations.

“I have realised that Batswana really love their home villages and I thought the best way to celebrate that is to have them boldly declare that with their T-shirts.  The ‘I Love NY’ T-shirts were very popular and I am confident that this could also easily trend in Botswana as well,” he said. Another line is the Yellow Bone range, which also celebrates the wearer’s place of origin. In the range, the name of the client’s place of origin or favourite destination follows the phrase, Ke Yellow Bone Ya… In street lingo, a yellow bone is a person, especially a woman who is light in complexion.

The third range of T-shirts is aimed at helping Christians appreciate and express their faith in a trendy and eye-catchy way.

“I have noticed that there is a misconception that Christians should be poorly dressed so I designed these beautiful T-shirts for them so that they could proclaim their faith in an attractive and fashionable wear,” said Molefinyane.

Molefinyane further said that as far as the Christian T-shirts are concerned, the client is given the opportunity to pick their favourite Bible verse and design.

The young Gaborone-based designer said that he has opened a Facebook page on which he promotes his products adding that the orders are already overwhelming.

“I wish Batswana could support my business by making more orders as the festive season approaches.  My T-shirts really help them show the world how much they appreciate their roots and the festive season will most certainly be the right time to do so,” he said.
