King Tux dances it off

The launch party has been dubbed ‘Black, Gold and Sexy’.  His fans will remember his party when he moved from Dee-Zone. He, however, insists that the launch party comes on a whole new tip, with the single largely recognised as a changed fusion from what his fans are used to.  “People should expect a different fusion.

Some are calling it House, but for me it is grown folk. It is ‘dancy’, it is a different new sound,” King Tux told Showbiz. He added that the single was also due for a video shoot. King Tux is under the management of former Generations actress Rosie Motene’s pan-African talent agency, WAKA Talent Management. WAKA represents actors, TV personalities, brand ambassadors, emcees and voiceover artists in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Congo, Liberia, Angola and Botswana.

King Tux is one of the two Botswana artists under their stable after poetess Keotshepile Motseonageng aka Berry Heart. Motene has repeatedly said she wants to get their work on a pan-African level, and then go global. She refers to King Tux as a triple-threat saying he shines in music, TV presenting/acting and producing.

King Tux has been in the industry since 2000 and started his career as a producer, co-hosting International Children’s Day of Broadcasting for UNICEF and Botswana Television. He has also worked as a model and assistant marketing co-coordinator for SABC1’s Campus Connection for Dezign Factory in Cape Town.

He also created and hosted Poetry Delight for Dezign Factory. The one-time President’s Awards Best Music Video winner has also produced Letlhabile, a lifestyle magazine show for the Ministry of Youth Sport and Culture. On a pan-Africa front, he produced and presented Good Morning Africa Botswana for Africa Magic channel 154. The single will be launched on November 28.
